UK Diveworks were approached to give expert advice on the options for relaying the swimming pool floor tiling within Trinity College Dublin. The pool tiling had de-bonded from the substrate of the pool tank floor due to poor installation and the use of etched trowel methodology. This method is not the correct method of backing tiling for swimming pool tank tile installation. When building or tiling a swimming pool, back buttering methods should be adopted to ensure that if any debonding tiles allow water ingress to enter below the tile, the water ingress is isolated and cannot travel through the channels produced by etched trowel adhesive installation.
Utilising our in house expert pool tiling divers, we mobilised all equipment and materials to Dublin.
The following work scope was completed underwater and without the necessity to drain the pool

Andy from UK Diveworks and his team completed a full floor tile replacement job recently here at Trinity Sport in Trinity College, Dublin and they managed to complete the works 2 days ahead of schedule. It is not that often you get that type of service. The pool now looks clean, fresh and new. They worked so hard to have the pool back operational on the target dates agreed and beat that. The diving team are very professional and they handed the pool back to us, clean, free of debris and ready to go. Thank you UK Diveworks team for an amazing job.
